Garnet Energy Capital is a private investment firm based in Houston. Garnet employs a flexible, opportunistic investment strategy, focusing on asset-level investments throughout the upstream sector of the energy industry. We provide highly customizable debt, equity, and structured capital solutions to our partners.
Our in-house teams are vastly experienced in performing detailed due diligence, allowing us to quickly close on a wide range of deal sizes and structures.

Vignesh Proddaturi, P.E.
Managing Partner
Prior to Garnet, Vignesh co-founded and was a Managing Partner at Glendale Energy Capital, focused on asset-level investments across the upstream sector. At Glendale, Vignesh secured ~$800 million to fund acquisitions of oil and gas properties with leading global investment firms and family offices. Vignesh was a Partner at Millennial Energy Partners where he led Millennial’s entry into the STACK play and helped secure significant private equity and family office investments. Previously, Vignesh was a manager at Legend Natural Gas, Seneca Resources, Milagro Exploration, and Sabco Oil and Gas and began his career at Intertek Westport as a Petroleum Engineer.
Vignesh earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University, an M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from New Mexico Tech and a M.B.A. with specialization in Energy Investment and Finance from the University of Houston. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas and was named one of Oil & Gas Investor’s Top 30 Under 40 Leaders in 2015.
Keith Wiles
Partner & Sr. Vice President, Land
Prior to Garnet, Keith was the Vice President of Land at Glendale Energy Capital where he focused on business development, negotiation, and all aspects of land management. Keith was with Marathon Oil Company for 13 years, where he held roles of increasing responsibility, culminating as the Director of Land and Commercial Services. While at Marathon, Keith was instrumental in Marathon’s entry into the Eagle Ford and Delaware Basins as well as several exploration plays and exits in Wyoming and Alaska. Keith holds a B.A. from the University of Oklahoma and is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen.
Shiv Naicker
Reservoir Engineer
Prior to Garnet, Shiv was a Reservoir Engineer at Glendale Energy Capital where he handled technical and economical evaluations. He has been part of the Glendale team since 2017 and has led technical due diligence in unconventional plays across the lower 48. Shiv graduated with a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Pandit Deendayal Energy University, a M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Houston focusing on unconventional reservoir engineering, fracture modeling, production engineering, & pressure transient analysis, and a Professional M.B.A. with a major in Information Technology from Campbellsville University.
Aakash Shah
Operations Engineer
Prior to Garnet, Aakash was the Operations Engineer at Glendale Energy Capital where he focused on technical evaluations of potential acquisitions and maintained the portfolio of existing assets. Prior to joining Glendale, Aakash was at Moblize where he led the Real Time Operations team, which was responsible for drilling optimization using in-house data-visualization software and played a key role in product development. Prior to Moblize, he was with Borehole Seismic as a Geophysics Analyst where he performed numerous evaluations on the effectiveness of hydraulic fracturing job by analyzing micro-seismic data. Aakash holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Pandit Deendayal Energy University and earned a M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Houston with a special focus on rate-transient analysis and reserves estimation.
Constanza Montanez
Reserves Coordinator
Constanza works with the accounting and land functions at Garnet to maintain Garnet's internal reserves database. Prior to Garnet, Constanza was Reserves Coordinator at Glendale Energy Capital where she coordinated the quarterly and year end reserves process and prepared economic evaluations to support the technical team for oil and gas investment opportunities. Prior to joining Glendale, Constanza was an ARIES™ Domain Expert at Halliburton-Landmark for 13 years. She provided technical assistance to end users, deployed the Knowledge Management System and worked with R&D and Sales teams to improve the ARIES™ competitive advantage. Prior to Halliburton, Constanza worked in development programs in Peru sponsored by USAID. Constanza holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from los Universidad de Los Andes, Colombia.
